CCE-R Business Trip (Sept. 18-19, 2009)

The CCE-R Business trip in 2009 took place during September 18-19, 2009. The members visited the nuclear plant in Cernavoda and the Constanta harbour.

The programme of the trip was the following:

Friday, Sept.18:

08:45 Meeting in the parking place in front of the Athenaeum. Travel by coach.

09:00 - 11:00 Trip to Cernavoda

11:00 - 12:30 Visit to the nuclear plant in Cernavoda. During a very dynamic discussion, Mr. Ionel BUCUR, General Manager , offered to the CCE-R members very interesting information on the plant and the nuclear industry at large. A visit to the nuclear simulator followed.

12:30 - 13:00 Trip to Murfatlar

13:00 - 14:30 Wine tasting and cold buffet in Murfatlar (photos below)

14:30 - 16:00 Trip to Histria

16:00 - 17:00 Visit to the Histria ancient fortress

17:00 - 18:00 Trip to Constanta

18:00 Check-in at the Ibis Hotel in Constanta

20:00 Dinner at the restaurant New Safari

Saturday, Sept.19:

08:00 Breakfast and check-out at the Hotel Ibis in Constanta

09:00 - 11:30 Visit of the historic centre of Constanta (the Casino, the Aquarium, the Museum of History, the Roman Mosaic, the Ovidiu Square and the Mosque) - photos below

11:30 - 14:00 Trip to and visit of the Constanta Harbour with special access and guidance to economic and technical areas. The CCE-R members were the guests of DB Schenker Romtrans, a harbour operator at MOL1 Constanta Sud Agigea. (photos below)

14:00 - 15:30 Lunch at the restaurant Scapino

15:30 - 18:30 Trip to Bucharest
