The Annual General Assembly of the Chamber of Commerce Switzerland – Romania took place at Holcim HQ (169A, Calea Floreasca, Bucharest – Building B, 7thfloor, room “Tango”), onThursday, March 18th, 2010, at 18:00. 25 member companies out of 64 were present in the meeting.
Mr. Markus Wirth, the CCE-R President, welcome the guests and pointed out the main achievements of the Chamber in 2009. The cooperation with counterpart chambers of commerce within joint business clubs or in working groups such as the newly created Advisory Forum (see http://www.ccer.ro/Advisory-Forums-first-meeting*eventID_72-events_details) as well as an improved visibility in Switzerland through meetings with Swiss officials were some of the issues mentioned here.
Gentiana Avrigeanu, CCE-R Executive Director, presented then the activities and the budget of the Chamber in 2009, the objectives and the events agenda together with the budget for 2010.
For the election of the CCE-R Board Members and of the CCE-R President, all 2009 incumbents stood for re-election: Markus Wirth, HOLCIM ROMANIA; Irina Bolomey, FIDEXPERT; Serge Gonvers, AUDICONSULT; Jürg Hasler, SWISSPOR; Raoul Keller, SIEMENS; Dan Luca, BIOS INTERNATIONAL, BIOS DIAGNOSTIC; Cătălin Mitroi, GEBERIT INTERNATIONAL SALES. Jacques Reber, NESTLÉ and Erwin Vondenhoff, HEIDI CHOCOLAT have also joined the Chamber’s Board.
Markus Wirth was re-elected as the CCE-R President.
The representatives of the Association "Weniger kann mehr sein“ -
WKMS ("Less can be more") were the special guests of the Assembly. WKMS is a Swiss foundation and
non-profit organization working in Piatra Neamt to build a home for
children without parents.
