DB Schenker Romtrans - the new market leader on the Romanian forwarding market Date: 2009-11-03
Since the end of 2008, the biggest Romanian logistics provider, Romtrans, belongs to the worldwide network of DB Schenker. At the end of the last year, the German Logistics Company DB Schenker acquired Romtrans – the biggest freight forwarder in
Romania . The enterprise DB Schenker Romtrans was founded as a result of this acquisition.
This move has opened up new channels which ensure highly efficient and successful logistics.
Customers profit twofold from this acquisition and the newly founded company DB Schenker Romtrans: firstly, through the dense land transportation network in
Romania and secondly through the expanded connections to all economic regions in
Europe and the world.
Prior to the merger with Romtrans, DB Schenker employed 150 staff in the Romanian subsidiary up till the end of 2008. Today that number has increased to 1,300 employees located in 8 branches and 73 working points.
