BRCC Executive Chairman, Mr. Rareden and
Richard Reese, Executive Director of the Netherlands Romania Chamber of
Commerce welcomed the participants and briefed them on the agenda.
The participants welcomed the British and
Dutch Chambers of Commerce’s initiative of coagulating the business
environment.
Main goals of joint meetings are to offer the
members the possibility of getting in touch, to share information, to draft
list of topics where government’s engagement is necessary.
The participants agreed on several
important issues:
- the need to draft a strategy
for future action,
- to have a follow up meeting to
discuss the strategy
- to share the programmes of
activity and thus avoid overlapping of events; to discuss where and how it’s
possible to organize some joint events; to indicate which events are open for
other Chambers’ members
- to eliminate unnecessary
duplication of topics of events
- to co-brand some events with
the Chamber that has most expertise in the respective field
- the need to have a powerful
organisation that represents a great part of the business environment and can
be a partner for dialogue for government, authorities and other similar
Romanian organisations.
