Mechanical Design Engineer – Product Technology, Plastic Injection and Metal processing moulds

Our member, Insta Electric S.A., is looking for a  Mechanical Design Engineer – Product Technology, Plastic Injection and Metal processing moulds (advertisement below).
 
 
We are a manufacturer of low voltage electrical equipment, as well as producer and servicer for  injection and metal processing moulds and we are currently looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer – Product Technology, Plastic Injection and Metal processing moulds, for our facility based in Focsani
 
The successful candidate will report to the General Manager and will be responsible for:
  • Designing new injection and metal processing moulds and tools,
  • Designing new products’ technologies, as well as developing existing designs and processes,
  • Concept design & Materials selection,
  • Prototype development & manufacture.
The candidate will also assist in providing site leadership to Operational Excellence initiatives utilizing tools such as Problem-Solving, Standard Work, and Transactional process improvement.
Facilitator is expected to be a driving force in making significant step changes in the site's performance.

Specific responsibilities include:
  • Product and mould technical design and drawing,
  • Mould making and maintenance,
  • Assistance in the development of the site's strategic priorities (in support of the division's strategic priorities),
  • Facilitate the development of a well-conceived projects roadmap,
  • Lead and facilitate cross-functional teams in continuous improvement events in support of safety, quality, delivery and cost,
  • Maintain project/process documentation including tracking of results.
Applicants should:
  • Hold a Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related subject and have significant demonstrable experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Have significant experience in 3D CAD design - Preferably Solid Edge & AutoCAD.
  • Have practical ability and an interest or knowledge of at least one of the following areas: plastic moulding, electrical appliances manufacturing, metal processing, process flow.
Good command of spoken and written English is a must. German language is considered an advantage.
The applicant must have the ability to communicate effectively at all levels, through a variety of media and have excellent team facilitation skills and the ability to influence others.
