Nestle reorganizes its ice-cream production in South-Eastern Europe region Date: 2008-09-05

Nestlé is reorganizing its production of ice-cream in South Eastern Europe region and starting the 1st of September will transfer the production volumes from Bucharest to the factory located in Varna, Bulgaria. The Company will provide all 76 affected workers with a redundancy package.

The Company remains very committed to its investments in the Romanian ice-cream market and will continue the investment in the distribution and commercial force, as well as in product innovation.

In 2006, Nestlé acquired the Greek company Delta Ice Cream at the regional level; in Romania it became Nestlé Ice Cream Romania. The acquisition also included one production facility close to Bucharest.
