MARC BRUCHEZ, NEW DEPUTY HEAD OF THE SWISS EMBASSY IN ROMANIA
Marc Bruchez arrived in Romania on 31st
of January as Deputy Head of the Swiss Embassy in Romania. He
succeeds to Mr Simon Geissbühler who left in October to Poland.
Marc
Bruchez is born in 1975 in Lausanne. He studied law at the University of Fribourg (2000) and made a Master in
European Law at the University Carlos III (2002) in Madrid. He worked as a
jurist in South
Africa (2001) and in Madrid (2001-2003) before
coming back to Switzerland where he qualified as a
lawyer (2005), and practiced law until he entered the Swiss diplomatic service
in 2007. For his formation as a diplomat, he has been sent to the Swiss Embassy
in Bogotá (Columbia) where he spent almost one year. Back
to the capital in 2008, he joined the directorate in charge of United Nations
Affairs, where he worked until he left for Bucharest.
