Established in 1896 in Basel, F. Hoffmann – La Roche is one of the largest corporations in the world (ranked 48th in 2000 in the top 500 corporations) and one of the top 10 biggest pharmaceutical companies in the world.
F. Hoffmann – La Roche is present all over the world, with more than 60,000 employees and a turnover in excess of 28 Bio CHF. The company is structured in two divisions, Roche Pharmaceuticals and Roche Diagnostics. Roche Pharmaceuticals is the biggest and most dynamic part of F. Hoffmann – La Roche Corporation, with sales in excess of 18 Bio CHF.
Roche Pharmaceuticals is one of the worldwide major players involved in the development and marketing of breakthrough drugs and medical solutions that cure, extend the life expectancy and improve the quality of life of millions of people around the world in areas like Oncology, transplant, Virology, Obesity, Cardiology, AIDS, Antinfectives, Central Nervous System Diseases, Dialysis, Dermatology and others in many of these areas being a worldwide leader.

F. Hoffmann - La Roche Romania was established as a Scientific Office in 1992. Our main task is to coordinate with the mother company in order to promote our products on the Romanian Market, to provide information to the doctors and the patients, to give support to our local partners and to make sure that the Romanian patients have access to the most recent products developed by Roche.
Our young, dynamic team of highly trained dedicated professionals is working in close co-operation with the doctors, the patients, the distributors and the local authorities, as our central focus is on the health and quality of human life.
