Swiss Business Forum 2nd
edition - Capital Plaza Hotel, February 22nd, 2011
In 2010 Swiss investments have reached a healthy EUR 1.1 billion
being supported by the Swiss EU Enlargement Contribution to Romania. In 2011,
Switzerland is expected to be one of the contributing factors to Romania’s
economic recovery.
Company representatives
attending the Swiss Business in 2010 declared with one voice that the most
important issue which they have to contend with is the high level of corruption.
His Excellency Livio Hurzeler, Swiss Ambassador to Romania, said he was
concerned about the implementation of the IMF agreement, because in his opinion
it focuses more on covering expenses and less on implementing government
measures meant to fill the state coffers.
