The Swiss group Syngenta, the largest agribusiness company worldwide providing agrochemicals and seeds, was officially launched in Romania on December 11, 2001.
Syngenta is rated at the stock exchanges in Switzerland (SYNN), London (SYA), New York, (SYT) and Stockholm (SYN).
Syngenta is a leader in the agricultural industry, resulting from over 100 years’ experience and expertise. The company is on the first place in crop protection and on the third place in the world in seeds’ production. Syngenta has over 23,000 employees in more than 130 countries.

Syngenta targets significant sales which will grow due to itsportfolio strengths (a large range of products, including well known brandssuch as Dual Gold, Mistral, Artea, Quadris, Cruiser, Dividend) and due toseveral launches of new specialties on the major market segments.
Syngenta has opened in Romania a legal entity in charge of sales, registration, development, marketing and supply of plant protection products and seeds.
