Tax Seminar by LeitnerLeitner

As announced at the General Assembly held on March 18, CCE-R has started to organize a series of seminars on specific finance and tax issues with the support of LeitnerLeitner, CCE-R member.

The first seminar approached the Withholding Tax and its related Tax Risk together with the new VAT Rules valid as of 2010. It was held at LeitnerLeitner’s HQ (2-4, Gara Herastrau, 7th floor), on April 14, 2010; 16:00 - 18:00.

The speakers were: Mr. Bogdan Voinescu - Tax Director and Mr. Alexandru Comanescu - Senior Consultant.

This seminar was mainly addressed to CFOs, Finance Directors and Chief Accountants of our members. The speakers covered the theory of the above-mentioned topics leaving room afterwards for discussion of practical examples.

The detailed topics were:

Withholding tax and related Tax Risks:

-present domestic legal framework and double taxation treaties;

-revenues subject to tax;

-practical issues - questions and answers.

New VAT rules 2010:

-present VAT framework harmonized based on EU directives;

-new VAT rules for the provision of services;

-practical issues - questions and answers.
