Accounting & Taxes

The Accounting & Taxes Working Group within our Chamber of Commerce consists of professionals and experts in accounting and taxation who work together to tackle the challenges related to financial reporting, compliance, and tax regulations. This group serves as a resource and forum for members to discuss critical issues, share best practices, and stay informed about the latest developments in accounting standards and tax laws.

Objectives:

  1. Monitoring regulatory changes: keep track of changes in accounting standards and tax legislation at both national and international levels, ensuring that members are well-informed and prepared to comply with new regulations. A special attention is offered to:

    - Labour taxation and capping of CAS & CASS, maintaining flat quota, PNRR - revision of the fiscal framework,

    - Fiscal changes at international level (in light of EU reforms and accession to the OECD)

  2. Providing training and resources: organize workshops, seminars, and training sessions to help members improve their knowledge and skills in accounting and tax management, including updates on new laws and reporting requirements.

  3. Facilitating tax optimization strategies: develop and share strategies to help member companies optimize their tax obligations legally and efficiently, contributing to better financial outcomes.

  4. Supporting SMEs and start-ups: offer specialized guidance and resources for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and start-ups to help them navigate complex accounting and tax challenges, fostering growth and sustainability within the business community.

  5. Input on the Reform & Digitization of ANAF: input on SAF-T, RO e-invoice, RO e-transport, SPV, Big Data, etc.

The coordinator of the group is MIRUNA ENACHE, Partner, Tax Advisory & Compliance, Services, Transaction Tax EY Romania.

Miruna stands as a Partner in EY’s Romania Tax Services organisation. Bringing with her over two decades of diversity in the tax consultancy sector, Miruna has vast experience acting as a tax advisor focusing on corporate taxation and transaction advisory, namely mergers and acquisitions. Her professional journey spans various industries including pharmaceuticals, production, real estate, and financial services, which mixed and navigated her way to Ernst & Young in 2002.
