RO e-Transport is a system developed by the Romanian Tax Authorities with the purpose of monitoring the transports of certain goods (i.e. high fiscal risk goods HFRG) on the national territory.
As of 15 December 2023, are subject to reporting all international transports of goods, regardless of the category of goods transported.
Users having the obligation to report transports shall include certain data in the system, which will return a unique number (UIT) that shall be available during the transport.
The RO e-Transport system interconnects with the other existing information systems at the level of the Ministry of Finance, the National Agency for Fiscal Administration or the Romanian Customs Authority.
The categories of vehicles subject to RO e-Transport (at least for HFRG) are those with a maximum authorized mass of at least 2.5 tons, loaded with goods with fiscal risk with a total gross weight of more than 500 Kg or a total value of more than RON 10,000, related at least to a commercial relationship which is the subject of the transport.
No clarifications are yet available on the conditions for reporting international transports of goods (other than HFRG).
