Could you briefly introduce yourself and tell us about your role at Chronolink Romania? What does your day-to-day work involve?
I’m currently part of the management team at Chronolink Romania, where I’m involved in communications strategy, branding, and high-impact campaigns. If I had to resume my day-to-day work in just one phrase, that would be: making sure our work reflects the precision and reliability expected in the watchmaking industry
What led you to the watchmaking industry, and what attracted you specifically to Chronolink?
I was drawn to the watchmaking industry by its unique combination of tradition, precision, and innovation. And you know what this leads to? Perfection. This is what watchmaking industry means to me.
Chronolink attracted me specifically because of its strong Swiss heritage, its commitment to quality, but also the long-term vision the Management has. The company’s approach to building expertise locally while staying closely connected to Switzerland strongly resonated with my own professional values.
And then there is also the company’s key player position in Romania’s luxury watch market, through its pioneering pillars. I can’t help but mention the strong intake in developing the local luxury retail sector by opening the first Official Rolex mono-brand Boutique, marking thus a major milestone as access to luxury watches in Official Boutique format had previously been very limited. This was back in 2004. Of course, in the 22 years that followed, we counted numerous landmarks all contributing significantly to establishing the modern luxury watch retail ecosystem in Romania.
What do you enjoy most about your work, and what do you find most challenging in your current position?
What I enjoy most is seeing how people, processes, and craftsmanship come together to create something of lasting value. Contributing to team growth and continuous improvement is especially rewarding. The most challenging part is maintaining consistently high standards in a fast-moving environment, but that challenge is also what keeps the role engaging and motivating. I am happy to say now that I have just accomplished 15 years of shaping brand reputation in luxury retail.
How would you describe your management style, and what values guide you in your professional decisions?
I would describe my management style as collaborative and pragmatic. I strongly believe in clear communication, accountability and, above all, mutual trust. I think leading by example and taking decisions guided by respect, integrity, and a long-term perspective are the main keys to accomplishing the business objectives.
Outside office hours, how do you usually spend your time? What activities help you recharge and stay inspired?
Outside of work, I value spending time with my family and friends, staying active, and giving myself space to disconnect from daily routines.
And for me, the most efficient way to disconnect not only from the daily routines, but also from all the noise surrounding us permanently, is reading.
What does be part of the Switzerland–Romania business community mean to you, and what motivates you to stay involved?
Being part of the Switzerland–Romania business community means contributing to a bridge between two cultures built on trust, quality, and shared expertise. I greatly cherrish this collaboration which, after all, spans a period of more than 100 years as it creates and has created opportunities for sustainable growth, knowledge transfer, and long-term partnerships.
Is there a personal motto, belief, or life lesson that you try to follow, both in your career and in your personal life?
A principle I try to follow is that consistency and integrity matter more than anything. Because it goes beyond the idea of short-term results. Doing things properly, even when it takes more time or effort, pays off both professionally and personally.
What are your hobbies or personal passions outside of work, and how do they influence the way you approach your professional life?
My interests outside of work include activities that require patience, focus, and curiosity—qualities that naturally carry over into my professional life. Or, maybe, the other way around?
These passions help me stay balanced and remind me of the importance of continuous learning. Something I never get bored with.
