Presenting Daniel Hauri, Chairman of Elbet Holding, as he vies for a position on the CCE-R Board of Directors 2024

With 40 years of industrial business expertise, mainly in family businesses, spanning production and trade sectors, he brings a diverse portfolio to the business landscape.

Here's his commitment to our Chamber, in his own words:

“As a Board member residing in Switzerland, I feel obliged to represent the Swiss-Romanian Chamber of Commerce not only in Romania during my working time but also in Switzerland. I have many contacts in the start-up scene (I myself was the founder of the platform "Startnetzwerk Thurgau") and as a former member of the Chamber of Commerce in Switzerland, I personally know many manufacturing companies. I can be the contact person for all companies interested in setting up a business in Romania and open up connections to local companies, organizations and persons. 

As I have been investing in Romania for 20 years, I can offer, in the name of the Chamber, interested parties personal advice and support. This has often been the case in the past. This enables me to build a bridge between the potential investment in a production facility in Romania and our Chamber of Commerce.”

About Daniel Hauri

He has a degree in business administration from the University of Applied Sciences in St. Gallen, a degree in journalism and a Master's degree in "Supervision and Coaching" (Institute for Applied Psychology in Zurich IAPZ).

Daniel Hauri spent many years as Managing Director and Chairman of the Board of Directors in various family-run companies. He took over a trading company in the electrical engineering sector from his father and over time founded and managed a family holding company and later a financial holding company with 5 production companies in Switzerland, Romania and China hiring in total more than 300 employees. The companies are active in the field of electrical engineering and electronics as OEM suppliers, for wholesalers and for specialized retail DIY markets.

His favourite topics are strategy development, sustainability, succession planning in family businesses and the establishment of production companies in foreign countries.

He is currently the Chairman of the Board of Directors and holds additional advisory mandates.
