Candidates for the CCE-R Board 2024 (RI)

Introducing Prof. Dr. Ray F. Iunius, CEO of Winsed.swiss Education Group, renowned for his 30+ years in academia with École hôtelière de Lausanne and his expertise in customer experience (CX) and consultancy in service industries. His innovative leadership spans founding tech and entrepreneurship institutes, to contributing to the EHLITE magazine, and serving as Chair of Innovation Paul Dubrule. He’s also a visiting professor at HEC Lausanne.

In sharing his vision for continued service on the board, Prof. Dr. Iunius emphasizes:

"In considering my continued service on the Board of the Swiss-Romanian Chamber of Commerce (CCE-R), I believe my contributions are rooted in a pragmatic approach, drawing upon my extensive experience within Swiss and Romanian business and academic circles. My previous tenure on the Board has already set a foundation for initiatives such as integrating the CCE-R with various associations and events, supporting members in implementing dual education systems, reinforcing the solidarity efforts with the Swiss embassy, and bolstering the Chamber's presence in both media and international cooperatives. These efforts are a pledge not just to maintain but to actively enrich the reciprocal ties between Switzerland and Romania, particularly in fields of management, education, and service industries.

As we advance, my intent is to build upon these successes, ensuring that our actions translate into concrete benefits for our members. This includes developing a guide for best practices in dual education tailored for the CCE-R, strengthening our relationships with Romanian government bodies, and facilitating greater engagement in national and international discourse through strategic networking and partnerships.My dedication to the Chamber’s strategic objectives is also focused on expanding our membership base and shaping our future strategy to reflect the dynamic needs of the Swiss-Romanian business community."

About Prof. Dr Ray F. Iunius 

Prof. Univ. Dr. Eng. Econ. Ray F. Iunius holds an MBA and a PhD from the University of Lausanne, along with a BSc, MSc, and Doctorate in Technical Sciences from Transilvania University of Brașov. Ray is the CEO of the Winsed.swiss Education Group, a company active in education and consulting with its headquarters in Switzerland and subsidiaries in Romania, Serbia, and Cyprus.

In addition to his role as CEO, Ray Iunius is a visiting professor at the Faculty of Advanced Business Studies (HEC) of the University of Lausanne, Switzerland.

Since 2023, Prof. Iunius has also been serving as an Honorary Advisor for education, economy, and tourism to the Prime Minister of Romania.

He is the author of numerous academic and professional articles published in journals focused on service management, technology, and innovation, in addition to several books such as « Industrie de l’accueil »,  « Hôtellerie de Luxe », « La gestion des spas », “Un Hôtel, un modèle ?” in de Boeck editions and co-author of the “Lausanne Report on the future of Hospitality Industry.”

In recognition of his significant contribution to strengthening and developing bilateral relations between Romania and the Swiss Confederation in academic and scientific fields, the President of Romania, Klaus-Werner Johannis, awarded Professor Ray Iunius the Order of "Merit for Education" in the rank of "Commander". Furthermore, the Custodian of the Romanian Crown, Her Majesty Margareta, conferred upon him the Order of the "Crown of Romania" in the rank of "Knight" for his entire university and economic activity alongside the Royal Family.
